SAFEGUARDING AT ST MARY’S

St Mary’s, East Barnet, is committed to developing best practice in the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We seek to:

• Promote a safer environment and culture
• Safely recruit and support all those with any responsibility related to children, young people or vulnerable adults within the church
• Respond promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation
• Care pastorally for the victims or survivors of abuse and other affected persons
• Care pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns or allegations of abuse and other affected persons
• Respond appropriately to those who may pose a present risk to others

The care and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults is a shared responsibility of everyone who takes part in the life of our church.
